An unlocked Pixel 9 Pro is a phone that isn’t tied to a specific carrier. When you purchase an unlocked Pixel 9 Pro, you get to choose which carrier or plan works best for you. Most phones in the Google Store come unlocked.

To use a SIM-unlocked phone:
1. Buy an unlocked Pixel phone from the Google Store.
2. Contact a mobile carrier.
3. Follow their instructions to set up your phone with their service plan.

Pixel 9 Pro has dual SIM functionality. You can use two SIMs: one physical SIM card and one eSIM. You can choose which SIM to use for which action, like messaging or calling. This option is called Dual SIM Dual Standby (DSDS). On Pixel 9 Pro if your carrier allows, you can use two eSim profiles simultaneously and connect to two 5G networks in dual SIM mode at the same time.

The Google Store offers carrier activation with AT&T and Verizon. If you activate with a carrier now, we’ll connect your Pixel 9 Pro to your account.

AT&T customers: Once you receive your new Pixel 9 Pro, call AT&T to complete your activation. Your Pixel will arrive ready to go with your number and plan information. If you connect with a carrier later, once your new Pixel arrives, you can insert a physical SIM card or use eSIM from any carrier that provides service for Pixel 9 Pro.

Yes, Pixel 9 Pro works with 5G networks. The type of 5G service depends on both the phone model and the carrier network. Learn more about 5G.
Your Pixel 9 Pro purchase comes with a 1 m USB-C® to USB-C® cable (USB® 2.0) and SIM tool. Pixel 9 Pro does not come with a 45W USB-C Power Charger, but that can be purchased separately.
