Home sweet (and safe) home.
Whether you’re enjoying a cozy night in or a trip hundreds of miles away, here’s how Nest can keep you and your home safe and secure.

Your home is a sanctuary. Smart devices help you keep it that way.

As a consultant for security companies, David Schwartz understands the importance of feeling safe in your home. And when Schwartz moved into his own new home near Morristown, New Jersey, a few years ago, his first priority was to set up a smart home security system that would keep his two young children safe. “I wanted to have predictability – to know who was coming to my door or when I got a package,” Schwartz says.

Schwartz secured his home using Google Nest’s smart home ecosystem, which lets him keep an eye on his property at all times – and from anywhere in the world – using the Google Home app.2 A Nest Doorbell gives him a door camera that lets him see when a package is dropped off, and even respond to visitors remotely.1 And Nest Cams placed strategically around the house let him see when his children get home from school.

He also appreciates how Nest’s security products work together. In the Google Home app, you can view live video feeds from your Nest Cam and Nest Doorbell, as well as create automations that make life easier and safer.3

Nest security products are designed to work together, so you can rest easy knowing that your home is secure.

A view on visitors

Nest Cams and Nest Doorbells form a smart security system, working together to give you a view of your house, inside and out. When they’re connected to a Nest Hub, you can see it all on the display and navigate between cameras using your voice.

What makes smart security so smart? Since the doorbell can tell the difference between people, animals, and vehicles, you’ll see who’s at the door and know exactly why you’re getting an alert, in real time. No matter who or what arrives, your Nest Doorbell can send a notification to your phone, displays, or speakers.

Safer pets

Worried about pets at home alone? Nest Cams can work indoors and outside so you always know where they are.

You can even configure the Nest Doorbell to recognize the dog walker’s face and announce their name using Google Assistant. All you need is a Nest Aware subscription, which also lets you record video continuously with a wired Nest Cam, see your video history, and get alerts based on familiar faces or sounds such as breaking glass. Use the familiar faces feature to limit alerts, so your doorbell doesn’t bother you every time your kid comes into the house.1,4And when you have a Nest x Yale Lock installed, you can lock or unlock the door remotely. Or just set a custom code for guests and never worry about giving out a key to your home again.

Set it and forget it

With the Google Home app, you can set up security automations – such as home lighting and nighttime door locks – for your favorite Nest and Matter-enabled products and over 80,000 Works with Google Home devices. If you want it to look like someone is at home while you’re gone, create an automation that turns on your Matter-compatible lights when your Nest Doorbell detects that you’ve left the house.5

Whether you’re at home all day or away on vacation, Google’s smart home security devices make your home a safer place.
