When you switch to Google Pixel, you’ll get a pro-level camera and handy messaging tools that help you stay connected with friends and family.

Plus, eureka: Android and iPhone users can text together much more smoothly thanks to Apple’s adoption of the RCS messaging standard.1 Your new phone boasts features specially engineered by Google. Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro give you all-day battery life and a stunning camera system, so you can photograph the moments that matter without worrying about your phone dying.2 And if any of those images aren’t just as you want them to be, Pixel’s editing features will sharpen and brighten picture-imperfect photos – even ones taken with an iPhone®.3 Plus, Clear Calling filters out your caller’s background noise and enhances their voice, so you can hear them in the train station, restaurant, or wherever they happen to be.4

Switch to Pixel without worry

Pixel gives you options to transfer your important data in just a few steps. It takes only about 30 minutes, and you’ll be able to pick up where you left off, with your photos, messages, and favorite apps transferred to your new phone.5,6 And you’ll still have access to all the ways you already connect with friends and loved ones – including FaceTime® video calls and iMessage® reactions.7

Get a head start on setup before your phone arrives

The process of transferring your phone’s data is now faster and simpler than ever. You can begin preparing your data for the switch the moment you order your new Pixel from the Google Store5,6 – and start backing up your photos, videos, and passwords from your old phone to your secure Google Account while you wait for your Pixel to ship. And that makes the final setup significantly faster, so you can get right to the fun part.

Have questions about switching? Here are some common ones.

Safely transfer your important data, including photos, videos, contacts, iMessages, texts, WhatsApp messages, apps, notes, call history, and more.5 Is it easy to switch from Apple to Pixel?

Switching to Pixel is easier than ever. When you purchase from the Google Store, you can get a head start on transferring your data from your old phone after checkout. Then, all you have to do is connect your old iPhone with your new Pixel, and follow the prompts on the screen. In about 30 minutes, your selected data – like contacts, photos, and messages – will copy to your new Pixel.6

What data can be copied from my iPhone to Pixel?

When you set up your Pixel, you can safely transfer over your important data, including photos, videos, contacts, iMessages, texts, WhatsApp messages, apps, notes, call history, and more from your iPhone.5 After initial setup, you can copy other photos and videos you have stored in iCloud to Google Photos.

Will I have to repurchase my apps or subscriptions?

Most apps automatically copy over when you switch to Pixel. If you have subscription services (like Spotify or Apple Music), just sign in to your account on your Pixel and you’ll see all your data in that app. And if you paid for apps or games, app developers can help you transfer them to your new phone.

What will I do without my favorite iOS apps?

Pixel has comparable equivalents to your favorite iOS apps. Instead of iMessage, Pixel has Messages – an AI-powered messaging app that learns how you communicate and offers helpful suggestions. Pixel also has an alternative to AirDrop® called Quick Share, so you can keep sharing files with friends near you.8

Will it be harder to communicate with people who still use iPhone?

Worried about a world without high-quality images, read receipts, or typing indicators? A new era of texting has begun now that Apple has adopted Rich Communication Services (RCS),1 the industry text messaging standard. As long as your iPhone-using friends and family have kept iOS up to date and keep RCS switched on, you’ll be able to emoji-react to texts, name your group chats, and send and receive sharp photos and videos – just as if you’re all on the same operating system. Here’s to blue and green being friends.

What about video calls? Does FaceTime® work?

Pixel users can easily make video calls through Google Meet, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, and many other communication apps. You can also join FaceTime calls from your Pixel if someone sends you a link.

With Pixel, you can share locations with family and friends using Google Maps, which you may already use. With Location Sharing, you can choose who gets to see your location and how long to share it with them.

What should I do before switching from iPhone to Google Pixel?

Switching is a great time to do a bit of spring cleaning – you can use this opportunity to review old photos or clean up your contacts. Everything else comes in the box with your new Pixel. All you need is the SIM card from your old phone.

You won’t lose a beat when you switch to Pixel, whether you’re on iPhone or Android. Find out more here.
