The Tensor G5 chip brings more innovation from Google to your Pixel, for more personal, proactive help throughout your day.

You get the transformative power of helpful AI, cutting-edge camera quality, powerful security and performance, all-day battery life,3 and more.

Pixel is the only phone engineered by Google and built with a unique combination of hardware, software, and AI powered by Tensor, our custom-designed chip. This makes Pixel more helpful, more personal, and more adaptable to you.4 And because Pixel’s cutting-edge features run on Tensor, they work quickly and privately – many without needing an internet connection.5

Did you know Google AI is getting smarter?

There’s more good news: Tensor keeps getting better with each generation. Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and Pixel 10 Pro Fold are equipped with Google’s fifth-generation chip, which represents the biggest leap in performance since Tensor’s debut. Tensor G5 translates to a day made easier with a battery that lasts from the minute you wake up until long after you’ve gone to sleep, with powerhouse performance for every moment in between. It’s custom-built with upgrades across the chip, like a TPU that’s up to 60% more powerful to deliver helpful AI experiences more efficiently,6 a CPU that’s 34% faster on average7 (making scrolling, web browsing, and app launches smooth and responsive), and an upgraded Imaging Signal Processor (ISP) to deliver Pixel’s best image and video quality on Pixel 10 Pro.8 On top of that, Tensor G5 unlocks new, Pixel-exclusive features you’re sure to love.

The Pixel 10 phones will also be the first to run the newest Gemini Nano model, the latest on-device AI model from Google, to help your phone understand not just text input, but also image, audio, and speech in new languages.9

What is Tensor and how does it make smartphones more helpful?

Tensor is the system-on-chip processor designed to run state-of-the-art breakthroughs from teams like Google DeepMind, which is at the forefront of machine learning and generative AI. Tensor was conceptualized in 2016 and first integrated on Pixel 6 in 2021. The Tensor team plays a key role in optimizing large AI models for mobile devices, so Pixel can continue to have the latest innovations without significant drains on battery. With the newest Gemini Nano model powered by Tensor G5, Pixel 10 has the most advanced on-device AI on a phone1 and over 20 on-device GenAI experiences to help make everyday life easier.

What can Google Tensor G5 do for me?

Tensor delivers the best of Google’s intelligence to Pixel first, including Gemini innovations, putting the most personal, helpful features right in your hand.

  • Receive proactive help, right when you need it – You’ve called the airline to do a complicated flight-switching maneuver – what were all the flight numbers again? Magic Cue can anticipate that you’ll need those digits and provide a pop-up with all the information.10 Once you’re finished, you receive a text from your friend asking for the address of the rental home where you’re both staying this weekend. Magic Cue can proactively surface the details for you, allowing you to respond with just a tap. No more app switching as you dig around for the information that you know is somewhere on your phone.

  • Take better photos and videos – Some of the most visible examples of machine learning in action on your phone can be found in your photos and videos. Tensor G5 makes some of Pixel’s most powerful camera features possible, thanks to a redesigned, custom Imaging Signal Processor (ISP) that, along with new sensors, helps deliver stunning image and video quality across the Pixel 10 phones. And if you’ve always felt like your photos could use a little boost, get ready for the help you’ve wanted.

Capture photos in incredible detail, and zoom in even closer, with Pro Res Zoom on Pixel 10 Pro.11 It’s all made possible by a unique combination of cutting-edge camera hardware and Tensor, with the first diffusion model – and the largest camera model to date – ever run in the Pixel Camera, fully optimized specifically for Tensor G5.

Tensor G5 also helps enable fast, on-device AI for features like Add Me, which puts you in the photo, even when you’re the photographer, or Auto Best Take, which now automatically combines multiple takes into a picture that shows everyone at their best.

  • Enjoy better phone calls and get help recalling key details – On average, Pixel’s Call Screen keeps users free from 70% more spam calls than before.12 Scam Detection uses powerful on-device AI through Tensor and Gemini Nano to help detect suspicious conversation patterns, in real time, during calls and text messages.1 This feature is completely private and runs entirely on-device thanks to Tensor G5, so your phone calls and summaries are never sent to the cloud. Call Notes privately summarizes a call and provides a transcript for you, so you’re free to concentrate on the conversation rather than take notes.13 And with the latest Gemini Nano model running on Tensor G5, Call Notes can automatically suggest actions like calendar invites or tasks by understanding the context of your conversation. This means it intelligently interprets your call to identify key details and proactively helps you follow up, all while keeping your data private on your device.

  • Communicate faster and more naturally – Machine learning makes state-of-the-art speech recognition possible, with real-time transcription through Live Caption and interpretation through Live Translate. Tensor G5 takes those capabilities to a different level with new voice translations on Pixel 10: You can hear the speaker’s natural voice interpreted in real time and on-device during a phone call, keeping your conversations private.9 So phone conversations in different languages feel more authentic.

  • Protect your data – There’s a separate core on the Google Tensor chip that’s set apart from the application processor, so sensitive tasks and controls run in an isolated environment, making them even more resilient to attacks. With Google Tensor G5, the certified Titan M2™ security chip14, and the latest Android operating system working together, Pixel offers the highest-rated security features.15 And with the Tensor G5 chip, your Pixel is designed with even stronger security from the ground up.16 This helps protect your phone better throughout its entire life – from the moment it’s made through shipping, and when it’s in your hands.16 The security of critical systems has been enhanced, including the digital “keys” that safeguard your personal data, making it even harder for someone to tamper with your device.

  • Stay on the cutting edge – With Pixel Drops, OS upgrades, and seven years of security updates, your Pixel will just get better for years to come.17
