On the court, NBA superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo is known as the two-time MVP who led the Milwaukee Bucks to their first championship in 50 years.

But in his off hours, Antetokounmpo can be found spending time with family, including his two little ones, Liam and Maverick.

“I try to document every time my family and I are together, when we travel and special moments,” says Antetokounmpo, who keeps his

on hand to take photos, many of which end up on his Instagram account. “The definition and clarity is so intense that I rarely have to adjust it at all.” For parents who want to capture their kids even when they won’t sit still, the Google Pixel camera also includes features like , which delivers clear faces by stitching together images from the camera’s different lenses to get rid of any blur.

Antetokounmpo says he uses his Google Pixel so often to take pictures that “the amount of pictures I have on my Google Pixel is insane,” he says. To wit: the NBA Dunk Contest, one of the special moments he’s captured recently. “But what I remember more is the time I spent with my brothers during the skills challenge.”

He’s not just about family – he’s got jokes, too

Antetokounmpo owns his dad persona as much as he does his position as a power forward, entertaining his audiences with dad jokes, which are a regular feature of his press conferences. “What do you call a fake noodle? … An impasta.” He delivered that one courtside in February during a game against the Portland Trail Blazers.

People have come to expect the jokes now, and Antetokounmpo never wants to disappoint. “Sometimes when I am walking to the podium, I forget that I have to tell a joke, so I find one quickly using my Google Pixel,” he says.

The next thing he’s excited to try? Live Translate, which translates people talking in real time. “The next time I go to a country where I don’t speak the language, I am going to make sure I use it so that I can still tell my dad jokes,” he says.

For now, he’s given us this one, which we’ve translated into his native Greek with interpreter mode:

Do you know why the first French fries weren’t cooked in France? Because they were cooked in Greece.

Ξέρετε γιατί οι πρώτες τηγανητές πατάτες δεν μαγειρεύτηκαν στη Γαλλία;Γιατί μαγειρεύονταν στην Ελλάδα.
