A guide to customizing your Google Pixel Watch.

There are plenty of ways to customize your watch to fit your vibe. Pixel Watch Bands come in up to ten styles – from Active and Stretch to leather and metals – in a variety of colors and materials. Most of the styles come in two sizes: 41mm to fit the smaller Pixel Watch 4 and earlier generations of the Pixel Watch, and 45mm to fit the larger Pixel Watch 4 (and Pixel Watch 3).¹ And since they’re easy to swap out, you don’t have to choose just one. You can also pick a watch face that best suits you.

“From the very beginning, we saw this great opportunity to create something that truly feels like just a part of your life, not another piece of technology,” says Isabelle Olsson, VP of design for home and wearables across Google hardware. Olsson led the team that designed the Pixel Watch. 

The watch band serves another important purpose: to make sure your Pixel Watch is getting accurate health readings.² It’s part of what makes the bands more than a design statement. This was a key consideration for Google’s designers. “Our main inspiration was to design for the context that our products live in,” says Olsson. “And in this particular case, the context is your body. And everybody’s bodies are different. And everybody’s preferences are different.”

Here’s a closer look at how you can make your Pixel Watch your own. 

A waterproof band made of silicone, so it’s just as durable as it is comfortable. The rows of perforations make it breathable – the ideal band for workouts. It’s available in six colors: Obsidian, Porcelain, Indigo, Lemongrass, Peony, and Moonstone.³

Super durable and adaptable, the Active Band, which comes in-box with every watch, is made of waterproof fluoroelastomer with a soft-touch coating so it’s both durable and comfortable. It’s available in four shades: Porcelain, Obsidian, Lemongrass, and Iris.³

“Why can’t a watch be as comfortable as a pair of sneakers?” asks Olsson. The Gradient Stretch Band – in Peony/Iris, Obsidian/Hazel, Lemongrass/Frost, or Moonstone³ – is soft and stretchy, making it perfect for everyday and overnight comfort. And it’s made from recycled materials.⁴ “[The band] really stretches and fits your life,” Olsson says. Quite literally. When the Gradient Stretch Band is expanded, it further reveals a glimpse of another color, highlighting the texture and gradient.

The Performance Loop Band is designed to be your new run buddy. And while most bands have holes to adjust the size, the Woven Band has a custom-designed clasp that slides, fitting precisely to your wrist.

Perhaps the most classic option, the Crafted Leather Band is made of Italian leather with fine stitching and comes in Moonstone with Brushed Silver Stainless Steel lugs and Obsidian with Matte Black Stainless Steel lugs. The Two-Tone Leather option adds further dimension, offered in two colorways: Charcoal with Polished Silver lugs or Jade with Champagne Gold lugs, both featuring lugs made of stainless steel and tonal colors on the straps.³

For more of a modern jewelry look, the Metal Mesh Band and Metal Slim Band are made of flexible stainless steel, and come in Matte Black, Champagne Gold, and Silver.³ (Compatible with the Pixel Watch 4, Pixel Watch 3, and Pixel Watch 2.) The magnetic clasp is easy to adjust, so you get exactly the right fit. Another option, the Metal Links Band, which works with the Pixel Watch 4, Pixel Watch 3, and Pixel Watch 2, has soft curves and classic lines in Brushed Silver or Matte Black.³ Easily add or remove links yourself to get the right fit – no professionals needed.  

Pairs well with: Three options work well here. Pilot Bold is a bold twist to the Pilot watch face, offering weightier numerals and indices to enhance readability – it pairs perfectly with the effortless and elegant aesthetic of the Metal Mesh Band. While the Abstract watch face (shown on the Metal Slim Band) features a minimalistic analog design with no indices – just a clean floating hour arm, a minute arm, and a dot to track seconds. Each band comes in a choice of colors, and many were designed to coordinate with the larger Pixel portfolio. “We want to always have something on the warm side, something on the cool side, something on the neutral side, something dark neutral, and then some combinations in between,” says Olsson.
