Google Pixel Call Assist Limits Unwanted Phone Calls - Google Store
4 ways Call Assist can simplify your phone calls.
Do you find yourself avoiding calls from random numbers? With Call Screen, your Google Pixel acts as an intermediary between you and the caller, answering unknown numbers for you to find out who's calling and why. If you’re receiving unsolicited calls, your Google Pixel can detect and filter them out for you.
Call Screen can be especially valuable when you use the same phone for your work and personal life. Just ask Jacqui Podel. As a nutrition consultant in New York City, her phone is constantly ringing – with calls from friends, clients, and occasionally spam. “If I get a call and don’t recognize the number, [my Google Pixel] will ask who it is for me,” Podel says. As the caller replies, her phone displays the transcription on the screen in real time, and provides options to take the call, block the number, or direct the caller to voicemail.
Call Screen can also filter and decline robocalls and spam for you. It can automatically screen the call, asking who is calling and why, and decline if spam is detected. Call Screen is especially handy for Podel during work hours, when she receives client calls from numbers she may not recognize. “I don’t have to waste my time screening spam calls,” she says.
Call Screen isn’t switched on by default. To turn it on, first open the Phone by Google app. Tap the Menu button, then Settings, and finally Call Screen. For additional help, visit the
