Keep the whole family in touch with Fitbit Ace LTE.
You want your kid to feel independent as they start exploring the world, but maybe you’re not quite ready for them to have a smartphone.
Fitbit Ace LTE is an excellent way to bridge that gap.1 This kids’ smartwatch has parental controls and built-in privacy that ensure safe communication with only trusted contacts. And it’s also great at encouraging your child to remain active.
Now your kids can contact you without needing a smartphone.
Fitbit Ace LTE has already been a hit with parents, like editor Nathan Edwards at The Verge, who wrote, “My favorite thing about it is that it lets my nine-year-old text me, which I really appreciated during the summer when she was at day camp. She was able to tell me her brother needed dry shoes, for example, or that the toys at the toy museum they visited looked creepy and that the place smelled weird. It opened up a whole new way of communicating compared to the preset text replies and 20-second audio clips she had to work with on [other kids’ smartwatches].”
Some kids may have multiple households or extended families in different time zones, and it can be difficult for their loved ones to stay in touch as often as they’d like. Beyond encouraging movement in a way children love, Fitbit Ace LTE lets you set up trusted contacts for your child for safer communication. Because they’ll use the Fitbit Ace app to chat with your child, it doesn’t matter what OS those contacts have.3
Making everyone feel closer together is easier than ever, thanks to the new family group chat, which parents can set up for members of their Google Family. Kids can now get in on the digital conversation – and they can do it safely with built-in layers of protection for parental peace of mind.
Google’s in-app messaging extends beyond just parent to child. Let’s say you want your daughter to be able to share her winning spelling bee word with her aunts and uncles on the opposite coast. Or you want to remind your 8-year-old when he’s at Dad’s house to wish Grammy a happy birthday. Fitbit Ace LTE easily keeps everyone in the loop.
Big family? No problem. Add up to
Parents, much to their children’s relief, don’t need to be involved in every conversation. Fitbit Ace LTE offers sibling-to-sibling chats, so your kids can use their Fitbit Ace LTEs to voice-message or chat with each other. Now it’s easy for your daughter to send a message to her sister saying how her dance class celebration is going. Or for one of your twins to let the other know he accidentally left his homework at the house (again).
There’s nothing like your first smart device

Fitbit Ace LTE was designed with layers of built-in controls and safety features that are easily accessible in the Fitbit Ace app. Think of it as your home base, where you can securely call or message your child, see their location, and manage their contacts.1
Besides providing an easy way to stay connected, Fitbit Ace LTE is also a GPS tracker for kids that’s equipped with advanced location technology and child safety tracker features. And because no parent can be available 24/7, we built in Call for Help. So if your kid’s bus doesn’t show or a babysitter gets sick, they can get help by long-pressing the top side button, then tapping Call for help. Fitbit Ace LTE will then dial all your child’s emergency contacts, in order, instead of 911 – so you don’t need to worry about false alarms.
Families can feel more connected than ever – with a smartwatch that offers safer communication than ever – thanks to Fitbit Ace LTE.
Fitbit Ace Pass is a paid data plan that is required to access most features. Ace Pass LTE services available in the US except in Alaska or US territories.
Calling, messaging and location sharing are dependent upon network connectivity and other factors.
Fitbit Ace app works with most phones running Android 11.0 or newer or iOS 15 or newer.
Parents must set up contacts for users with supervised Google Accounts. Contacts must be either: adults who have a Google Account and the Fitbit Ace app on a compatible phone, or siblings (in the same Google Family) with their own Fitbit Ace LTE device. Parents can only manage contacts where their child has a supervised Google Account.
