Pixel 9 series owners can now generate unique images and stickers using Pixel Studio directly within Gboard. Simply open the custom sticker tab in Gboard in any messaging or social app, type your creative prompt (like “jelly avocado with black eyes”), and send your custom Pixel Studio sticker creation instantly without needing to switch apps. It’s a faster, more seamless way to add personalized flair to your conversations.
This June Pixel Drop also brings substantial enhancements to accessibility, making Pixel even more helpful for everyone.
Building on the helpfulness of Live Caption, new features in Expressive Captions offers a richer understanding of spoken content. This update, available on Pixel 6 and newer devices with Android 15+ in English, now captures the intensity of speech duration (as in “Yesssssss!”) and identifies a wider range of vocal sounds like whispering, throat clearing, and yawning. This adds valuable context, whether you’re trying to capture the spoken word or in a noisy environment, or you enjoy using captions.
For users with compatible hearing aids, Pixel 9 series phones (with Android 15+) now support the latest low-energy Bluetooth hearing aid technology, LE Audio. This enables reliable, high-quality audio streaming for hands-free calling directly through your hearing aids. You can easily customize settings from your phone based on your preferences and adjust ambient volume for a more comfortable and clear hearing experience, all while benefiting from the power efficiency of LE Audio.
These features begin rolling out June 10, 2025 and will continue over the next few weeks across eligible devices. Keep an eye out for a notification on your phone, or manually check by going to Settings > System > Software updates. Ensure your apps are also updated via Google Play to get all the latest improvements.
