With Sleep Sensing, you can analyse the rest of the person closest to the display. Sleep Sensing uses a low-energy motion sensor that detects movement and breathing. Other sensors in Nest Hub detect sounds like snoring and coughing, and environmental factors like light and temperature in the room. That is how you know when you went to bed and how long you slept but also the quality of your sleep.

Sleep Sensing on Nest Hub is designed to analyse one person’s rest. Your sleep data is safely stored in your Google Account. You can use two devices if you wish to analyse another person.
Nest Hub does not have a camera. Sleep Sensing uses motion and sound to analyse your sleep.
Sleep Sensing makes analysing the way you sleep effortless. You don’t have to wear or charge a device. Just go to bed as you normally do, and Motion Sense will begin analysing your rest.
With the Google Fit app, you can analyse your daily sleep and fitness data and get tips on the go.
