An unlocked Pixel 9a is a phone that isn’t tied to a specific operator. When you purchase an unlocked Pixel 9a, you get to choose which operator or plan works best for you.

Important: Pixel phones work with all major operators. But not all Pixel 4a (5G) and later phones have 5G functionality on all 5G networks. See a list of certified operators to make sure your phone works on its 5G network.

To use a SIM-unlocked phone:
1. Buy an unlocked Pixel phone from the Google Store.
2. Contact a mobile operator.
3. Follow their instructions to set up your phone with their service plan.

Pixel 9a has dual SIM functionality. You can use 2 SIMs: 1 physical SIM card and 1 eSIM. You can choose which SIM to use for which action, like messaging or calling. This option is called Dual SIM Dual Standby (DSDS). On the Pixel 9a if your operator allows, you can use two eSim profiles simultaneously and connect to two 5G networks in dual SIM mode at the same time.
Yes, Pixel 9a works with 5G networks. The type of 5G service depends on both the phone model and the operator network. Learn more about 5G.
Your Pixel 9a purchase comes with a 1 m USB-C® to USB-C® cable (USB® 2.0) and SIM tool. Pixel 9a does not come with a 45W USB-C Power Charger, but that can be purchased separately.
