When you switch to Google Pixel, you get a pro-level camera and handy messaging tools that help you stay connected with friends and family.

Your new phone boasts features specially engineered by Google. Pixel 9a, Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro Fold gives you all-day battery life1 and a stunning camera system, so you can photograph the moments that matter without worrying about your phone dying. And if any of those images aren’t just as you want them to be, Pixel’s editing features will sharpen and brighten picture-imperfect photos – even ones taken with an iPhone®. Plus, Clear Calling2 filters out your caller’s background noise and enhances their voice, so you can hear them in the train station, restaurant, or wherever they happen to be.

Switch to Pixel without worry

Pixel makes switching easy by transferring all your important data in just a few quick steps. It takes only about 30 minutes, and you’ll be able to pick up where you left off, with your photos, messages, and favorite apps transferred to your new phone.3 And you’ll still have access to all the ways you already connect with friends and loved ones – including FaceTime® video calls and iMessage reactions.

Safely transfer your important data, including photos, videos, contacts, iMessages, texts, WhatsApp messages, apps, notes, call history, and more.5

Have questions about switching? Here are some common ones.

Is it easy to switch from Apple to Pixel?

Switching to Pixel is easier than ever. All you have to do is connect your old iPhone with your new Pixel, and follow the prompts on the screen. In about 30 minutes, your selected data – like contacts, photos, and messages – will copy to your new Pixel.

What data can be copied from my iPhone to Pixel?

When you set up your Pixel, you can safely transfer over all your important data, including photos, videos, contacts, iMessages, texts, WhatsApp messages, apps, notes, call history, and more.3 After initial setup, you can copy other photos and videos you have stored in iCloud to Google Photos.

Most apps automatically copy over when you switch to Pixel. If you have subscription services (like Spotify or Apple Music), just sign in to your account on your Pixel and you’ll see all your data in that app. And if you paid for apps or games, app developers can help you transfer them to your new phone.

What will I do without my favorite iOS apps?

Pixel has comparable equivalents to your favourite iOS apps. Instead of iMessage, Pixel has Messages – an AI-powered messaging app that learns how you communicate and offers helpful suggestions. Pixel also has an alternative to AirDrop® called Quick Share (formally known as Nearby Share), so you can keep sharing files with friends near you.

Will it be harder to communicate with people who still use iPhone?

Pixel helps you keep in touch with anyone, regardless of the phone they use. With the Messages app, you can send and see reactions and emojis from friends who use iMessages, and you can start or be part of any group text. You can also enjoy common group messaging apps like WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger that work across any OS.

What about video calls? Does FaceTime® work?

Pixel users can easily make video calls through Google Meet, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, and many other communication apps. You can also join FaceTime calls from your Pixel if someone sends you a link.

With Pixel, you can share locations with family and friends using Google Maps, which you may already use. With Location Sharing, you can choose who gets to see your location and how long to share it with them.

What should I do before switching from iPhone to Google Pixel?

Switching is a great time to do a bit of spring cleaning – you can use this opportunity to review old photos or clean up your contacts. Everything else comes in the box with your new Pixel. All you need is the SIM card from your old phone.

You won’t lose a beat when you switch to Pixel, whether you’re on iPhone or Android. Find out more here.

  1. Pixel’s all-day battery can last over 24 hours. For 'over 24 hours': Estimated battery life based on testing using a median Pixel user battery usage profile across a mix of talk, data, standby and use of other features. Average battery life during testing was approximately 31 hours. Battery testing conducted on a major US carrier network. For 'up to 72 hours': Estimated battery life based on testing using a median Pixel user battery usage profile across a mix of talk, data, standby and use of limited other features that are default in Extreme Battery Saver mode (which disables various features including 5G connectivity). Battery testing conducted on a major US carrier network. For both claims: Battery testing conducted in California in mid 2023 on pre-production hardware and software using default settings, except that, for the 'up to 72 hours' claim only, Extreme Battery Saver mode was enabled. Battery life depends upon many factors and usage of certain features will decrease battery life. Actual battery life may be lower.

  2. Not available on VOIP calls. Call quality depends on the environment, carrier network conditions, and many other factors. Actual results may vary.
