An unlocked Pixel 9a is a phone that isn’t tied to a specific operator. When you purchase an unlocked Pixel 9a, you get to choose which operator or plan works best for you.

To use a SIM-unlocked phone:

Pixel 9a has dual SIM functionality. You can use two SIMs: one physical SIM card and one eSIM. You can choose which SIM to use for which action, like messaging or calling. This option is called Dual SIM Dual Standby (DSDS). On the Pixel 9a if your operator allows, you can use two eSim profiles simultaneously and connect to two 5G networks in dual SIM mode at the same time.
