Your Pixel phone keeps getting more helpful over time.

The June Pixel Drop is here with exciting new ways to nurture your relationships and make your device even more accessible and fun.1

Stay Closer with Pixel VIPs

In our busy lives, maintaining meaningful connections with the people who matter most can be challenging. That’s why we’re introducing Pixel VIPs, a new feature exclusive to Pixel phones (Pixel 6 and newer) designed to help you feel more connected to your closest friends and family.2

Pixel VIPs lets you select up to eight special contacts and add a dedicated widget to your home screen. This widget becomes a personalised hub, giving you glanceable updates and gentle reminders about your most important relationships. Think of it as a dedicated space on your phone for the people you care about most.

See updates at a glance or click into the widget for the full Pixel VIPs experience, offering a deeper look into your connection:

  • Significant Dates: Never miss an important birthday, anniversary, or custom milestone again. Pixel VIPs provides timely reminders with celebratory illustrations.2

  • Last Connection: See when you last interacted, consolidating calls and messages from Dialer, Android Messages, and even WhatsApp, making it easy to see if it’s time to reach out.2

  • Local Updates: If your VIP shares their location, you can see their real-time location, local time, and weather at a glance. You can even get personalised activity suggestions based on their location and crisis alerts for natural disasters or emergencies near them, adding a layer of reassurance.2

  • Activity Suggestions: Suggests potential virtual and in-person activities based on preferences and location proximity, helping you connect with your VIPs better.2

  • Memo Notes: Jot down quick, private notes for each VIP – gift ideas, important reminders, or inside jokes – using a simple, integrated memo feature.2

Pixel VIPs helps you keep your important people, even closer. Build meaningful, personal, and connected relationships with the Pixel VIPs widget.

Unleash Creativity with Gboard

Communicating visually just got easier and more fun, right from your keyboard.

Pixel Studio Stickers integration to Gboard

Pixel 9 series users can now generate unique images and stickers using Pixel Studio directly within Gboard.5 Simply open the image generation tab in Gboard in any messaging or social app, type your creative prompt (like "a smiling avocado lifting weights"), and send your custom Pixel Studio Sticker creation instantly without needing to switch apps. It’s a faster, more seamless way to add personalised flair to your conversations.

Enhanced Accessibility Features

This June Pixel Drop also brings significant improvements to accessibility, making Pixel even more helpful for everyone.

More Nuance with Expressive Captions 2.0

Building on the helpfulness of Live Caption, Expressive Captions 2.0 offers a richer understanding of spoken content. This update, available on Pixel 6+ devices with Android 14+ in English across the US, Canada, Australia, and the UK, now captures speech duration and identifies a wider range of non-speech vocal bursts like whispering, throat clearing, and yawns.3 This adds valuable context, whether you're hard of hearing, in a noisy environment, or simply prefer captions on.

Better Hearing Aid Integration with LE Audio

For users with compatible hearing aids, Pixel 9 series phones (with Android 16+) now support the latest low-energy bluetooth hearing aids technology (LE Audio).4 This enables reliable, high-quality audio streaming for hands-free calling directly through your hearing aids. You can easily customise presets based on your preferences and adjust ambient volume for a more comfortable and clear hearing experience, all while benefiting from the power efficiency of LE Audio.

How to Get the June Pixel Drop

These features begin rolling out starting June 3, 2025, and will continue over the next few weeks across eligible devices.1 Keep an eye out for a notification on your phone, or manually check by going to Settings > System > Software updates. Ensure your apps are also updated via the Google Play Store to get all the latest improvements.

The June Pixel Drop continues our commitment to making your Pixel more helpful and personal over time. From fostering deeper connections with Pixel VIPs to enhancing accessibility and creativity, these updates are designed to improve your everyday experience. Explore the new features and discover how your Pixel keeps getting better.
