How do I manage my Preferred Care plan or file a claim?
If you are already a Preferred Care member, please visit the membership portal to file a claim for a repair or replacement, manage your plan, and more.
What are the differences between paying up front and paying monthly?
The monthly plan for Preferred Care renews monthly and can provide up to 2 years of coverage in case of out-of-warranty mechanical breakdown and accidental damage coverage. It can be cancelled anytime. During the active period, the plan can cover up to 6 accidental damage claims (limit 2 per rolling 12-month period, beginning with the date of first repair or replacement). Meanwhile with the upfront plan, you pay once for an additional year of mechanical breakdown coverage (in addition to the one-year manufacturer’s warranty). Financed phones are eligible for both plans, using the same payment method. For more details, please see the Sample Terms & Conditions.
Which devices are eligible for Preferred Care?
Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro, Pixel 6a, and Pixel 5a phones are eligible for both Preferred Care plans. Pixelbook Go (US only, excluding Puerto Rico) is eligible for Preferred Care upfront pay, but not monthly pay.
How much are service fees for filed and approved claims?
For Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, service fees for walk-in screen repairs are $29 while the service fee for other repairs or replacements (including mechanical/electrical breakdown and all other accidental damages) is $99 for Pixel 6 and $149 for Pixel 6 Pro.

Can I get Preferred Care if I’ve already purchased an eligible device?
If you purchased your eligible device through the Google Store within the past 15 days, please visit the Preferred Care portal and select a device from a previous order. From there, you can proceed to add Preferred Care. For more details, please read the following instructions.
How can I get repairs done in person?
Once your claim is approved, visit a uBreakiFix location or Google Store location. For a uBreakiFix visit, please have your device’s IMEI number (for phones) or serial number (for all other devices) ready, which can be found here. For a Google Store visit (phone repairs only), please have your device’s IMEI number and approved claim ID ready.
