Connect your old iPhone® or Android device to your new Pixel with the Quick Switch Adapter.²
Switching from iPhone? Turn off iMessage before you remove the SIM on your old device by going to Settings, tap Messages, and set iMessage to Off. Then, go to back to Settings, tap FaceTime, and set FaceTime to Off.
Tip: Your new Pixel should already be fully charged when you open the box, but make sure the battery is at least 50% charged.
Switching from iPhone? Sign in to your Google Account. If you don’t already have one, you’ll be asked to create one (or you can sign up here).
Switching from an Android phone? Your new Pixel should automatically sign you in to your Google Account, but if not, simply enter your password.
Tip: If you have a Google Account but are having trouble signing in, go here for help.
Once you’ve signed in to your Google Account, you can start transferring items that are stored on your old iPhone or Android phone, like photos, videos, contacts, music, calendar events, and SMS or iMessages.¹ For information on transferring other content and data that isn’t stored on your old phone, visit the Google Customer Care Center.
The transfer should take about 15-20 minutes to complete, but may take longer if you have a lot to transfer.
Tip: You can continue finishing setup while everything is transferring in the background.
Your Pixel comes with support via chat or phone, and we also offer personalized help in setting up your new Pixel. Just open Settings and tap Support on your Pixel.
Share your screen
You can even share your phone screen with a Google expert for guided help. During your support call, simply accept the View Screen Share Request sent by the agent.
