Despite interest in the women’s game growing, attracting 17.4 million viewers1 for last summer’s tournament final, only 2% of print and 6% of television football news mentions in the UK are dedicated to the women’s game compared to 98% and 94% achieved by the men’s game respectively. It’s time to make a change and give women’s football the coverage it deserves.
