Google Store Australian Open Contest
ENTRY IN THIS CONTEST CONSTITUTES YOUR ACCEPTANCE OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES. In order to enter the Contest (defined below), you must agree to comply with these Official Rules ("Official Rules" or "Rules"). Therefore, please read these Official Rules prior to entry to ensure you understand and agree.
You agree that submission of an entry in the Contest constitutes agreement to these Official Rules and by participating in the Contest, you accept these terms. You may not submit an entry to the Contest and are not eligible to receive the prizes described in these Rules unless you agree to these Rules. These Rules form a binding legal agreement between you and Google Australia Pty Ltd, ABN 33 102 417 032 with its registered office at Level 5, 48 Pirrama Road, Pyrmont 2009 NSW Australia (“Google” or "Promoter") with respect to the Contest.
2.1. Eligibility. The Contest is open to legal residents of Australia only, who are eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entry (“Eligible Entrant”).
2.2 To enter, Eligible Entrants must have an active email account, a Google Store account and meet the Contest Entry Criteria (defined below).
3.1. The Google Store Australian Open Contest (“Contest”) begins from 9:00 a.m. AEDT on January 6, 2026 until 11:59 p.m. AEDT on January 10, 2026 (the “Contest Period”).
4.1 To enter the Contest an Eligible Entrant must:
purchase a Google Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL or Pixel 10 Pro Fold (“Eligible Device”) from the Google Store (
store.google.com/au ) during the Contest Period to receive a unique identifying number from the Promoter (“Google Store Order ID”); andcomplete the online entry form located at [
https://services.google.com/fb/forms/aoticketgiveway2026 ] (“Competition Form”) by submitting the details required, including full name, email address, telephone number, city or state of residence, Google Store Order ID and provide responses to the Competition Questions (defined below).
4.2 The Competition Form will be
available on the Google Store Content Hub at
https://store.google.com/intl/en_au/ideas/articles/google-pixel-australian-open-giveaway-terms/ ;emailed to users opted-in to receive Google Store promotional emails; and
linked on Google Store device pages.
4.3 All entries must be submitted during the Contest Period. Any entries made after this time will not be eligible.
4.4.The entry form will require the Eligible Entrant to provide a response to the following five (5) questions (“Competition Questions”):
Question 1: "What is the official theme/slogan for this year's Australian Open 2026?”
Question 2: "What colour is the AO tennis court?”
Question 3: "In 15 words or less, which feature on your new Pixel will give you the 'winning edge' in 2026?"
Question 4:"How would you use your new Pixel to get closer to the action at the Australian Open?"
Question 5: "In 25 words or less, what part of the Australian Open inspires you most?"
4.5. Entry Limits. An Eligible Entrant can only submit one (1) entry per Eligible Purchase.
4.6. Purchase Cancellation & Forfeiture.
If an entrant returns an Eligible Device or cancels their order prior to the Winner being determined, the entry will be void and the entrant ineligible to receive the Prize Package.
If the Winner returns the Eligible Device or cancels their order after being awarded the Prize, the Winner acknowledges that the entry will be void in accordance with clause 5.2. The Promoter reserves the right to invalidate the Prize (if tickets have not be used), this includes cancelling any event tickets and flight and accommodation bookings without notice or compensation to the Winner.
Nothing in this clause 4.5 limits or affects an entrant’s rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Entrants who return an Eligible Device pursuant to their rights under the Australian Consumer Law will remain eligible to win or retain the Prize.
5.1. Judging Period. The judging of entries will commence at 9:00a.m. AEDT January 12, 2026 and conclude at 9:00a.m. AEDT January 13, 2026. All entries will be judged individually on their merits by a panel of two (2) judges appointed by the Promoter (“Judges”).
5.2 An entry that does not comply with these terms and conditions will be considered invalid.
5.3. Judging Process. All eligible entries received during the Contest Period will be scored by the panel of judges using the below criteria to determine a total score (out of 50 points): (a) Stage 1 (Automated Factual Scoring): Questions 1 and 2 will be scored out of 5 points each. A correct answer to Q1 or Q2 will automatically receive the maximum number of points available for each question.
(b) Stage 2 (Automated Keyword Scoring): Questions 3 and 4 will be scored out of 10 points each. The maximum number of points will be awarded for each question if the answer contains at least one (1) relevant keyword from a predetermined list.
(c) Stage 3 (Manual Creative Scoring): The Judges will sort all entries according to the combined score received from Stages 1 and 2. The entries with the highest combined scores from Stage 1 and 2 (“Finalists”) will then be reviewed by the Judges based on the following criteria and a score out of 20 will be awarded for the answer to Question 5 s:
(i) Personal Insight & Specificity (1-10 points): Does the answer show personal reflection, or is it a generic statement?
(ii) Emotional Resonance & Creativity (1-5 points): Is the answer expressed in a creative or authentic way?
(iii) Clarity (1-5 points): Is the answer clear, understandable, and within the 25-word limit?
5.4. Winner Selection. The Prize (defined below) will be won by the Eligible Entrant with the entry that receives the highest total score (out of 50) from the Judges, as determined in their absolute discretion and in accordance with the criteria in section 5.3 above (“Winner”).
5.5. If multiple entries receive the same highest score from the Judges, the Winner will be the entrant with the Google Store Order ID corresponding to the earliest recorded purchase of an Eligible Device, as determined by the record in the Google Store sales system.
6.1. There is one (1) prize available for the Winner of the Contest.
6.2 Prize Package. The Winner will receive the following for two (2) people (the Winner and one guest) to attend the Australian Open on January 24, 2026 (“Prize Package”):
Match Tickets: Two (2) tickets to an Australian Open match on January 24, 2026 (“Match”);
Air Travel: Round-trip airfare (economy seats) from the nearest major Australian airport (if required, as determined by the Promoter based on the Winner's city or State of residence);
Accomodation: accommodation at a four (4) star hotel (“Hotel”) for one (1) night, from January 24, 2026 to January 25, 2026, in Melbourne; and
Ground Transportation: Ground transportation for two people, which includes travel to and from the Winner’s nearest major airport if required, travel to and from the Melbourne airport and the Hotel and any transport required from the Hotel to the Event.
6.3 Prize Terms. The prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or cash equivalent.
7.1. Notification. The Promoter will notify the Winner to the email address submitted in the official online entry form via the Google Store official email outreach,
7.2. Winner Acceptance. Winner will have twenty-four (24) hours from the time of notification to respond and accept the Prize Package.
7.3. Unclaimed Prize or Disqualification. If a Winner:
cannot be contacted or does not respond within the 24-hour timeframe;
rejects the prize; or
is found to be ineligible or in breach of these T&Cs;
then the Winner will forfeit the Prize Package. The Promoter reserves the right to award the Prize Package to the next highest-scoring Finalist, subject to clause 5.5 and 4.5.4.4. Prize Coordination: The designated local events agency, Fulfilment Media Futures Group (the “Agency”) will be solely responsible for contacting Winners to co-ordinate the travel and event logistics set out in clause 6.2.
8.1. Ticket Conditions. All Australian Open tickets are issued subject to the Australian Open Ticket Conditions of Sale and Entry 2026 (which can be found online at https://ausopen.com/conditions-of-sale-entry).
8.2. Hospitality Conditions. All Australian Open Reserve hospitality products, including dining and/or private space elements, are provided subject to the Australian Open Hospitality Conditions 2026 (which can be found online at
8.3. Tennis Australia Photo Consent. By accepting the Prize Package, the Winner consents to Tennis Australia Limited using their personal information and photographing/recording their image while participating in any activity or event run or organised by Tennis Australia which constitutes part of the Prize. The Winner agrees that any such photographs, electronic images, sound recording or video footage may be used by Tennis Australia in resources and reports, or promotional, advertising or marketing materials, without any further notice or payment to the Winner.
9.1. Consent. The entrant acknowledges and agrees that Google may collect, store, share and otherwise use personally identifiable information provided during or in connection with the s Contest. The following data will be collected:
full name;
date and time of entry;
email address;
city and / or State of residence;
Google Store Order ID;
Contest answers;
acceptance of these T&Cs;
acceptance of Google’s Terms and Conditions (found at https://policies.google.com/terms?hl=en) and Privacy Policy (found at https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en).
9.2. Privacy Policy. The Promoter will use this information in accordance with its Privacy Policy (available at
9.3. Contest answers and the data set out in clause 9.1 above, will be accessible only to Google, its affiliates and vendors, and the Agency for the administration of the Contest and any related purposes. Google will take reasonable measures to protect the confidentiality and security of this data in accordance with its Privacy Policy.
10.1. Google reserves the right to disqualify any entrant from the Contest if, in Google's sole discretion, it reasonably believes that:
(a) the entrant has attempted to undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest by cheating, deception, providing false information or using unfair playing practices or annoys, abuses, threatens or harasses any other entrants, Google, or any judges; or
(b) having the entrant participate in the Contest or be awarded a prize would be contrary to applicable law, rules or guidelines.
10.2. Google reserves the right to cancel, terminate or modify the Contest if it cannot be completed as planned for any reason.
11.1. Google will not be responsible for: (a) any late, lost, misrouted, garbled or distorted or damaged transmissions or entries; (b) telephone, electronic, hardware, software, network, Internet, or other computer- or communications-related malfunctions or failures; (c) any Contest disruptions, injuries, losses or damages caused by events beyond the control of Google; or (d) any printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with the Contest.
11.2. By entering the Contest, you agree that Google, its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives, and agents (“Google Parties”) shall not be liable (whether under contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise) for:
(a) losses that were not caused by our breach of these Rules;
(b) any loss or damage that was not, at the time the relevant contract with you was formed, a reasonably foreseeable consequence of Google breaching these Rules;
(c) losses relating to any business of yours, including loss of profits, revenues, data, opportunity or anticipated savings, or any indirect or consequential losses; or
(d) loss of data stored on the device, or inability to access data.
11.3. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Google Parties’ liability will not exceed $150.
11.4. Nothing in these Rules is intended to exclude or limit Google's or any Google Party's liability for: (i) death or personal injury; (ii) fraud; (iii) fraudulent misrepresentation; (iv) any terms which cannot be excluded or limited by law (including under the Australian Consumer Law); or (v) any liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.
11.5. If you are a consumer, nothing in this section affects your legal rights.
12.1. If the Event is cancelled, postponed, or the venue changed for any reason the Promoter will use reasonable efforts to notify the Winner as soon as practicable. To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter will not be liable for any ancillary costs incurred by the Winner as a result of such changes.
12.2. If the Event or any part of the Prize Package becomes unavailable for reasons beyond the Promoter’s control, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to substitute the Prize Package with an alternative of equivalent value of $5,500 AUD per person.
13.1. These Official Rules are governed by and will be construed in accordance with the laws of Australia. Any dispute arising out of or relating to the Contest shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia.
