How Add Me works on all Pixel 9 and Pixel 10 phones

Sebastian Rodriguez, a Senior Product Marketing Manager for Google Pixel Camera, is constantly experimenting with new technology and snapping pics of everyone in his family – except himself. “Go through my house,” he says. “I barely show up in any of our family photos.”

A longtime photographer, Rodriguez loves Add Me because it lets him explore creative photography and actually be in his pictures. He loves the quality of the results, which he credits to Google’s powerful Tensor chip and Pixel’s signature computational photography. He also loves how intuitive Add Me is, because it’s integrated into your Pixel Camera.

To use Add Me, just:

  1. Take a group photo.

  2. Switch places with someone else who was in the picture.

  3. Have the second photographer tell you where you should stand, based on the directions in the viewfinder.

  4. Have the second photographer snap another picture.

  5. Use Add Me to seamlessly blend both takes, using AI and augmented reality.

“Think of Add Me like a guide that helps you as you frame your photo and get it aligned,” says Rodriguez.

You can make sure everyone’s included in your pictures with Add Me, whether you’re at your family’s house for the holidays or on a remote camping trip. Be yourself in Pixel group photos: Add Me can work with a group of 20 hugging, packed-in party guests (and even your pet) as well as it can with a duo on a secluded beach. Try multiple takes and see which two work best for merging. You can even add in multiple people – for instance, if someone other than the photographer was late for the first shot.

If you’re using Pixel 10 Pro Fold, apply Dual Screen preview, so you can see on a bigger screen how it will all fit together – before the photo is even snapped.

It’s not just group photos that sparkle on Pixel 10 cameras. You can do a lot more thanks to the phone’s magical editing features, powered by Google advanced AI capabilities.

Want to take a picture of your kids on their first day of school, but worried they won’t sit still? Someone blinked? No problem. After you take the photo, Auto Best Take merges similar shots to create a single photo where everyone looks great.

Camera Coach1 uses Gemini models to read the scene, offer you suggestions, and help you find the best angle and lighting. Then, make edits in seconds simply by asking with Google Photos.2 Just say that you’d like the people in the background removed or the color of the pink wall changed to green – and let Google Photos do the rest.

It’s a new era of innovative AI-powered picture taking and photo editing with Pixel 10 phones
