Tips and tricks for getting the most out of your Fitbit app
  1. Integrate Fitbit with other apps. If you’re an Android user, try Health Connect to link Fitbit with apps like Strava, MyFitnessPal, Peloton, and Oura so you can track all your stats in one place.

  2. Customize your Today tab. See the metrics that matter most with just a quick look. From the Today tab, tap the pencil icon. Choose your focus metrics, and show and hide other metrics. Tap Save and you’re set.

  3. Sync your app on demand. Your app will sync automatically throughout the day. To make sure your data is up-to-the-minute, go to the Today tab and pull down on the screen to refresh and sync.

  4. Start on a day that works for you. Fitbit automatically tracks your weekly activity with Sunday as the start of the week. If you’d rather start your workout week on Monday (or any other day), go to the You tab and tap the gear icon. Find Advanced Settings, scroll to Start Week On, and choose your preferred day.

  5. Set measurable, achievable goals. Staying motivated relies on seeing progress. You can start by setting realistic milestones. On the You tab, scroll down to Goals, and select See all. Here, you can tweak everything from how many days you’d like to exercise to when you plan to turn in for the night.

  6. Get down to nuts and bolts. Want to see specific data points? In the Today tab, select a stat. From there, select a specific day, then tap and hold the graph to see the numbers.

  7. Find the right workout in the Coach tab. Shake up your fitness routine by choosing from the featured workouts. Or swipe through the top menu to filter by free workouts, premium member workouts, your saved favorites, or category (like yoga, running, or strength training). 

  8. Personalize your profile. Add a photo, username, bio, and more for other community members to get to know you. On the You tab, tap the gear icon to edit your profile picture, username, bio, and cover photo.

  9. Decide what to share. Your privacy levels are completely up to you. Control who sees your data by tapping the gear icon on the You tab and adjusting the privacy settings.
