Your phone is always on you. It might as well be about you, too.

Android phone users have long enjoyed the ability to design their phone’s look, right from the first screen. With a Google Pixel phone and Google AI, you’re free to do even more, tailoring the way your phone works and ensuring it gets better and more helpful over time. AI transforms your Pixel from an amazing smartphone into a truly personal device, reimagining the way it can help you throughout your day and improving every time you use it.

Not sure how to get started? Here are four ways AI can help make your phone a little more you.

  • Use emoji for wallpaper that speaks to you. Infuse some whimsy into your Pixel using emoji wallpaper. Choose an emoji, then further personalize the design by selecting a style, pattern, and custom color palette. Every time you tap on your Pixel’s display, your chosen emoji – or multiple emoji on the same screen – will be there to greet you.1

  • Transform wallpaper photos into moving images. Elevate your favorite photos with cinematic wallpaper, which brings your personal images to life.1 When you tap the sparkle icon in the Wallpaper settings, Google AI enhances the background of your photo, adding depth of field and motion to create a visually captivating image. Your cherished memories are transformed into artful moments that animate your phone’s display.

  • Say only what you mean. You’ve probably got some go-to actions you regularly take – like setting alarms, or taking calls from your parents. Set up Quick Phrases so you can skip the “Hey Google” prompt and jump right to some of your most common tasks. Say “answer” and “snooze,” for example, and Google Assistant will know what to do.

  • Create variety in your notifications. Does every ping need to sound the same? If you’re receiving a text message, voicemail, app update, or another notification, why not have alerts that sound just a little bit different? In Sounds & vibrations in Settings, adjust the volume and vibration for specific apps or categories of apps.
